Privacy Policy

Your privacy is fundamental to us. This policy transparently explains how ResumeMe handles — or rather, does not handle — your personal data.

Your resume data stays 100% on your device. We use Google AdSense and Google Analytics.

We do not collect or transmit your resume content. We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage insights and Google AdSense for ads.

1. Data Controller

ResumeMe is an independent project developed and maintained by Ever Software House. For questions related to this Privacy Policy, contact us at: eversoftwarehouse@gmail.com.

2. Resume Data We Do Not Collect

ResumeMe is designed with privacy by design. Regarding your resume content and personal information, we do not collect:

  • Name, email, phone, or any personally identifiable information entered in resumes;
  • Data entered in resumes (experience, education, skills, etc.);
  • Resume content transmitted to our servers — it never leaves your device;
  • Financial data, passwords, or credentials of any kind;
  • Any information that could identify you within your resume documents;
  • Biometric or sensitive personal data.

3. Local Storage (localStorage)

For the application to function, your resumes and preferences are saved in your browser's localStorage. This storage:

  • Stays exclusively on your device — never sent to any server;
  • Is accessible only by the ResumeMe application in that browser;
  • Can be deleted at any time by clearing site data in your browser;
  • Is not shared between different devices or browsers.

Warning: Clearing browser data (cache, cookies, site storage) will permanently delete your resumes. We recommend regularly exporting your resumes as PDF for backup.

4. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

ResumeMe uses cookies and similar technologies through the following third-party services: (1) Google Analytics 4 collects anonymous usage data — such as pages visited, features used, and session duration — to help us understand how users interact with the application. No resume content or personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics. (2) Google AdSense uses cookies to display personalized ads based on your browsing history. You can manage your ad and analytics preferences at adssettings.google.com or via your browser settings. The only data we store directly on your device is what is strictly necessary for the app to function (your resumes and setting preferences), saved via localStorage.

5. Third-Party Services

ResumeMe integrates the following third-party services to support free access and improve the application:

  • Google Analytics 4 (usage analytics): collects anonymous data such as page views and features used — no personal data or resume content is shared;
  • Google AdSense (advertising): displays ads and may use cookies for ad personalization;
  • Google Fonts (typography): fonts are loaded from Google's servers;
  • html2canvas / jsPDF (PDF generation): runs entirely in your browser — no data is sent to external servers.

Google Analytics and Google AdSense may collect data such as cookies, IP address, and interaction signals. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. If you access ResumeMe through a hosting platform (such as Vercel, Netlify, or GitHub Pages), that platform may collect basic access logs in accordance with their own privacy policies, over which we have no control.

6. PDF Export

PDF generation occurs entirely in the user's browser, using the html2canvas and jsPDF libraries. No data is sent to external servers during the export process. The generated file is downloaded directly to the user's device.

7. Your Rights (LGPD)

In compliance with the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018), you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: all your data is visible and editable directly in the application;
  • Correction: you can edit any information at any time;
  • Deletion: you can delete resumes individually or clear all data via the browser;
  • Portability: you can export your resumes as PDF at any time;
  • Objection: you may opt out of Google Analytics data collection at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Your resume data is stored exclusively on your device, so no formal deletion or access request is needed for it. For data collected by Google Analytics or AdSense, refer to Google's privacy controls at myaccount.google.com.

8. Security

ResumeMe's architecture, by keeping all data local, represents the most robust security measure possible: data that never leaves your device cannot be intercepted, leaked from servers, or compromised in external attacks.

We recommend the following security best practices:

  • Do not use ResumeMe on public or shared devices without clearing data when finished;
  • Keep your browser updated to ensure the latest security features;
  • Back up periodically by exporting your resumes as PDF.

9. Minors

ResumeMe is not directed at children under 13. Since we do not collect data, there is no risk of accidental collection of minors' data. Nevertheless, we recommend parental supervision for use by minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. In case of significant changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be modified. We recommend revisiting this page occasionally.
